Richard Gentile, MD is a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, teacher, author, and founder of Gentile Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Laser Center. Board-certified in both plastic surgery and otolaryngology, Dr. Gentile brings a wealth of experience and world-class skill to every patient that visits his Youngstown, Ohio, offices.
After graduating from Ohio State University, Dr. Gentile received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He then performed his graduate medical studies at the world-renowned Baylor College of Medicine before beginning his medical career.
In addition to founding his own practice in 1987, Dr. Gentile has played a large number of roles in the medical community. For many years he was a clinical associate professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University and served on the medical faculties of both Case Western Reserve College of Medicine and the Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Gentiles is not only a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, but he has also served as an executive officer in his position as treasurer and a national spokesman for the organization.
Dr. Gentiles also serves as an editorial reviewer for the American Medical Association’s leading journal in his field. He is an active researcher and is credited with inventing the procedure Smartlifting™, a form of laser-assisted face and necklift.
Sought after at both the local and international level for speaking engagements and interviews, Dr. Gentiles is also proud to serve his community by working pro bono with Face to Face, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting people who need reconstructive surgery as a result of domestic violence.
