Nancy Thornton, MD

Nancy L. Thornton, MD, FACOG, is a highly respected Gynecologist running her own practice in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Dr. Thornton specializes in women’s health and aesthetics, devoting herself to providing the highest quality services to women with gynecological health concerns.
Dr. Thornton studied at the University of Mississippi in Oxford before earning her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Mississippi Medical School in Jackson. She served her residencies at Berkshire Medical Center’s Department of Surgery in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital, Hartford, Connecticut.
Dr. Thornton received her certification as an OB/GYN from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1993, when she worked at Absolute Health Care for Women of All Ages in Jupiter, Florida. She then set up her own practice in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, in 2000.
Dr. Thornton served as Vice Chairman of the Obstetric and Gynecology department at Columbia Hospital, Florida, from 1997 – 2003, and Vice Chairman of the Obstetric and Gynecology department at Palm Beach Gardens Hospital, Florida, from 2003 – 2005, where she subsequently also served as Chairman.
Dr. Thornton is an active member of the obstetrics and gynecology profession, serving on numerous local health committees in the Palm Beach area over her 30-year career.  
Dr. Thornton believes in offering women personalized service and takes time to listen to all her patients’ concerns, building up lasting relationships with her many grateful clients.
