Mendez, Jose L.

Dr. Mendez is a pulmonologist and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine. He believes that the needs of his patients should always come first. He treats pulmonary patients ages 18+ and sleep disorder patients ages 1+. His areas of expertise include asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, critical illness and sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia and narcolepsy. As the medical director of the Sleep Disorders Center in Danbury, Dr. Mendez takes a special interest in providing a comprehensive sleep evaluation and treatment for children and adults with complex sleep conditions. He speaks Spanish and his office is warm and welcoming to anyone. In his free time, Dr. Mendez enjoys running and taking long walks with his wife, his children and his German Shepherd.
