About Dr. Rafiq
Adnan Rafiq, MD, of North Star Medical in Houston is a board-certified internal medicine physician with an expertise in diabetes mellitus and coronary heart disease. He has been practicing in Houston since 2009 and is committed to building long-term patient-physician relationships and providing the highest quality of care to patients 18 years and older.
Dr. Rafiq has been recognized for his contributions to the medical community in Houston and beyond. In 2012, Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital named him Physician of the Year. He continues to give back to the local community through his work at the hospital and in his practice. Fluent in Urdu, Hindi, and English, he serves the men and women of Houston.
After attending medical school at St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, Dr. Rafiq received his residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. He also served as its chief resident.
Dr. Rafiq lives in Houston with his wife and four children. He and his family enjoy traveling and attending Rockets games together.
