Welcome to the Moorefield / Potomac Highlands KOA! This is a unique KOA with it's own private airstrip (4WV4). Heavens Landing Airstrip is available to our fly in guest with prior permission. We are located in a peaceful valley of the Potomac Highlands, as described by our guest, " a peaceful mountain oasis" a place where you can get some rest. Whether its for a few days or an extended stay, we offer a medley of accommodations providing you with a "like home" experience. We have a 4 bedroom, two bath Lodge Cabin and Deluxe Cabins which are fully furnished so you just need to bring your suit case. You will find big rig friendly Pull-Thru RV Sites and spacious back in sites along Middle Creek with easy access from the highway and free WiFi. The original Farm Barn was recently converted into our office, store, with a kitchen, bathhouse, laundry and meeting area for our campers. Tent camping along Middle Creek is relaxing and conveniently located close to the bathhouse. Enjoy a game of horse shoes, ping pong, fishing in our pond, or hiking our shaded trails during your visit. Share the adventure of an airplane ride with Just Plane Adventures while you are here visiting. Fresh vegetables from our High Tunnel Garden are sold in the store in season. Local attractions include, Dolly Sods Wilderness Area, Blackwater Falls, Seneca Caverns, Seneca Rocks, Green Bank Observatory, Cannan Valley, Spruce Knob, Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad, canoeing, kayaking, or floating the South Branch of the Potomac River and the Petersburg Wave Camp just to name a few.
