Yelena Tarasenko

Dr. Yelena Tarasenko attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, for her undergraduate studies with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. She completed her medical education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton campus. She went on to do her residency training in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida. Dr. Tarasenko is very passionate about optimizing all of the factors that play a role in the well being of her patients. Therefore, she makes every effort to embody the osteopathic philosophy of incorporating the mind, body and spirit as a unit into the evaluation of every single patient. Dr. Tarasenko also provides guidance in preventative care to prevent future disease states.

Dr. Tarasenko knew that she wanted to pursue a career as a physician from a young age. She is a first generation immigrant from the Ukraine and the first physician in her family. Dr. Tarasenko has truly enjoyed residing in Tampa Bay since medical school and as a result has chosen to stay and practice in the area. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter.
