Michael Gifford, DPM

Dr. Michael Gifford joined Arizona Institute of Footcare Physicians in July, 2017. Born and raised in Mesa, he completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University and then went on to attend the College of Podiatric Medicine at Western University in Pomona, California. He completed a 3-year surgical residency at Winthrop University Hospital where he served as chief resident and received advanced training in trauma, rearfoot and ankle surgery, wound care and hyperbarics. His focus is on the correction of the underlying pathology as a way to relieve painful symptoms. He believes that early detection and treatment is the key to better outcomes, with the goal of getting patients to return to everyday activities as soon as possible. He is excited to be back home practicing in the Valley.
