Freedom Insurance is a homegrown insurance agency started by Mike Poplin over 20 years ago.

Mike says: I've always had a love for cars, motorcycles, trucks, boats, and toys. I had a good friend who was in the insurance business. He took me under his wing and taught me everything and I found that I really had a knack for it.

When I first got into the business we were handwriting contracts. I remember the first company that actually used the Internet. That was Progressive and they were on dialup. In the beginning, it was illegal for insurance companies to even take credit cards. All of the different claims that I've seen throughout the years have given me a solid perspective.

The most rewarding things for me are making new friends as clients and genuinely helping my neighbors by saving them money. I like that look of relief on people's faces when they realize that some of the financial pressure has been removed from their lives through an insurance deal that is fair to them.

Every situation is different. You may have company A that doesn't like a particular vehicle or a driver with points. Where company B has a better experience with your specific scenario.
