The Health Insurance Shoppe began with two Certified Senior Advisers. After years of experience working with one major insurance carrier in North Carolina, Chuck and Martha Uhlir realized they could best help their Clients by not only offering one insurance carrier, but by offering more insurance choices to their Clients. "We strongly believe finding your right solution begins with having as many choices available as possible. We don't tailor our clients to fit the plan but find the plan that fits our client's needs the best."

In 2013 we decided to open the first retail storefront in Greensboro, North Carolina. We wanted to offer most of the major insurance carriers in North Carolina to give our Clients choices and to find the right choice for their circumstances.

​After having great success and building strong and lasting relationships with our Clients over the years, we decided we needed to expand to a larger space and in 2016 we moved our main office to the historic Revolution Mill in Greensboro, North Carolina.
