Country Life Hotel

Built in 1914, the Country Life Hotel is a warm, friendly country pub that recalls a simpler time. Located near the historic town of Pomona and Lake Cootharaba, out hotel was built a decade after the installation of the road across the ranges to serve the timber industry. It follows the classic Australian style of weatherboard pubs, with wide colonial verandahs and a corrugated iron roof.

Part pub, part museum, the Country Life hotel is important to the region’s history and features a display of timber industry photos and historical memorabilia - or puborobilio - from the 1900s.
