Todd Bonvallet, MD, a board-certified spinal surgeon, joins Hughston Clinic in Columbus, GA, as a member of the spinal team. Dr. Bonvallet received his undergraduate degree from Montana State University in 1984 and his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1991. He went on to complete his internship and residency in orthopaedics at Los Angeles County USC Med-Center and, afterward, a spine fellowship at the Florida Neck and Back Institute in Gainesville, FL. Since 1997, Dr. Bonvallet has practiced at Spine Surgery Associates in Chattanooga where he was also Professor of Orthopedic Spine at the University of Tennessee for 14 years. Dr. Bonvallet has also taught minimally invasive spine surgery both nationally and internationally, including China.

He is additionally the inventor of the Atlantis Translational Plate for Medtronic as well as the creator of a posterior minimally invasive lumbar spine implant with Precision Spine.
