Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics - Gregg A. Motz, MD

Dr. Motz is Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic surgery. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Tennessee. Dr. Motz offers general orthopaedic services and specializes in the minimally invasive or “arthroscopic” treatment of sports injuries.

Dr. Motz is among the first of the orthopaedic surgeons in the middle Tennessee area to perform ConforMIS customized knee implant surgery for the treatment of early and moderate medial or lateral osteoarthritis. He maintains active affiliations with Hendersonville Medical Center, Sumner Regional Hospital, Patient Partners Surgery Center, and Northridge Surgery Center.

Dr. Motz completed his undergraduate studies at Miami of Ohio University in 1991. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1995, and completed residency training in orthopaedic surgery at West Virginia University. He then completed a one-year specialty fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at the Jennings Clinic in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 2001.

Dr. Motz is married and the proud father of two young sons. He has been named team physician for Hendersonville High School. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Motz’s interests include golf and scuba.
