Over thirty years in the healthcare field coupled with personal experiences in raising a family and care giving have given me a practical sense of what it takes to make holistic healthcare work.

When evaluating a healthcare or lifestyle issue in our lives, it can be difficult to know what direction to take and how to apply the benefits that holistic healthcare affords us. The decisions of choosing what discipline to use for particular problems, when to use them, and what to expect of the healing can be difficult and frustrating.

In today's world we are exposed to so much changing information. Coupled with the time and energy demands of our professional goals, family needs, and personal emotional fulfillment, we can find ourselves in a quandary. The benefits of chiropractic, good nutrition and supplementation, acupuncture, allopathic medical care, exercise, meditation and spiritual practices can afford us a path to our goals.

The work begins at home. The first step is to know what we want to achieve. If we can remove the destructive emotional filters we have inappropriately attached to past negative experiences, we can free our creative conscious thought, become more honest with ourselves and achieve what we really want and not what someone else told us we wanted. Now we can approach the mind/body connection and start to evaluate a symptom such as a headache and determine if it is a musculo-skeletal cause, an organ dysfunction, an emotional response, or some combination of these factors.
