I have been involved in helping private and public companies comply with SEC disclosure and filing requirements since 1982, and helped develop Merrill's leading Datasite offering in the early 2000's. In 2007, I became heavily involved in assisting SEC filers understand and comply with the SEC's XBRL and structured data mandates. I currently lead the technical sales team involved in helping customers utilize Merrill Bridge, our transaction and compliance SaaS solution and frequently am invited to speak to legal and accounting professional organizations on how the SEC structured data initiatives are impacting all stakeholders who access and utilize the SEC's EDGAR platform.
