Cristina Montalvo, MD

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Dr. Cristina Montalvo is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and in Hematopathology. She earned her medical degree in 2002 at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. In 2007, she completed a four-year residency in Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a Fellowship in Hematopathology. In 2008, Dr. finished her Surgical Pathology Fellowship at Houston Methodist. Prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold as Main Campus Laboratory Medical Director, Dr. Montalvo’s career included seven years at CHI-St. Luke’s Health-Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center as an anatomic and clinical pathologist and hematopathologist. Since April 2015, she has served as an anatomic and clinical pathologist for Brown & Associates Medical Laboratories, L.L.P. Dr. Montalvo’s clinical focus is Hematopathology, which is the study of the various diseases that affect blood, lymph nodes and the bone marrow, such as acute leukemias and lymphomas.
