Hunaid Gurji, DO, PhD

After completing his medical degree and doctor of philosophy from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2012, Dr. Gurji completed his residency in Pediatrics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in June 2015. He then served as chief resident in the Department of Pediatrics from June 2015-2016 until joining Kelsey-Seybold in August 2016. Dr. Gurji is a member of the American Physiology Society, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association and the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association. Dr. Gurji enjoys computer programming, rollerblading, cooking, hiking and traveling. Dr. Gurji’s favorite meal is nasi goreng (fried rice) and his favorite dessert is mint chocolate chip ice cream. The best advice he’s ever received was “Always believe that you can do anything you put your mind to.”​The most exotic place Dr. Gurji has ever visited is Sri Lanka. His favorite band is Everclear and his favorite medical television sho​w​ is “House.”​​
