I believe every patient deserves dignity and respect. My goal is to uphold this principle by working in collaboration with my patients and empowering them to be active participants in their health through education. Why I Became a Medical Provider: Caring for people has always been my passion. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked for years as a registered nurse on a busy inpatient medical-surgical floor. Although it was a rewarding profession, I decided to become a nurse practitioner so that I could broaden my scope of practice, and help my patients beyond the acute care hospital setting.
