In Step Podiatry Center: Queen Mbanuzue, DPM

As a board-certified podiatrist and foot surgeon, Dr. Queen Mbanuzue combines compassion with the expertise to treat a wide range of foot conditions for men, women, and children in the Washington, DC Metro area at her practice: In Step Podiatry. Ranging from heel pain, hammertoes, and bunions to sports injuries and diabetic wounds, she receives patients at her office in Bowie, Maryland.
Dr. Mbanuzue completed her bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Vanderbilt University in Nashville before earning her medical degree at Dr. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine in Chicago. She also served a three-year podiatric surgery residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she received intensive training in forefoot and rearfoot surgery.
Dr. Mbanuzue is committed to continuing her education and nurtures her professional development by contributing to feature publications, holding professional memberships, and serving on the board of directors for Kusudi International, a global nonprofit that provides medical and rehabilitative assistance domestically and abroad. She’s also a wound care consultant at the Center for Wound Healing at Doctors Community Hospital, in Lanham, Maryland.
Dr. Mbanuzue is also passionate about providing education for her patients. She explains the available treatment options so you can take an active role in treatment and recovery. She always takes the time to provide detailed information and answer questions.

In her free time, Dr. Mbanuzue is an avid sports fan. She enjoys watching sports and playing flag football and volleyball. She also enjoys traveling, trying new food, and spending time with her family.
