Amy Overlin, MD

Amy Jo Overlin, MD, has extensive sports medicine experience at the youth, collegiate and professional levels. Dr. Overlin currently serves as the Head Team Physician for the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury, the Tempe Union High School District and Chandler Gilbert Community College. She is currently the medical director for the Pat Tillman Run as well as a pool physician for US Ski & Snowboard. Dr. Overlin served as the associate program director for Arizona State University’s Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at St. Joseph’s Hospital and currently serves as a preceptor for family medicine residents. In addition to her teaching and patient care responsibilities, she has published articles on gymnastics injuries, sports medicine issues and authored the chapter on gymnastics injuries in Netter’s Sports Medicine. In her free time, Dr. Overlin can be found working out, alpine skiing or watching her two children participate in their own sports.
