I chose the oncology specialty for a number of reasons, including the combination of science and psychology it offers as well as how rapidly the field is advancing through the latest research and scientific progress. Cancer care also offers great potential for bettering people’s outcomes and having a significant impact on their quality of life. In the last several years, first-hand experience has shown how essential research is to expanding the options available for treatment.
