Clayton Eye Surgeons

The Clayton Cataract and Laser Surgery Center opened in 1998. The Center is located adjacent to the Clayton Eye Center and offers patients the most modern eye surgery facility possible. The Center is fully licensed and must meet the same stringent state inspection requirements as any hospital. Because of the high volume of cataract surgery performed by Dr. Kim, the state of Georgia allowed us to build our own surgical facility. Patients can now avoid the administrative headaches that plague patients who have to go to the hospital for their outpatient surgery. The surgical team at the Surgery Center are professional individuals who devote their time exclusively to cataract surgery. In addition, the Surgery Center utilizes Capital Anesthesia, a licensed group of physician anesthesiologists. One of these individuals is always on hand during each cataract procedure.

We at the Clayton Cataract and Laser Surgery Center pride ourselves on providing safe, effective and time-efficient services for our patients. For instance, the majority of patients spend less than two hours from check-in to discharge. Wheelchair transport to the car or our Center Transportation Van is offered to all patients. Our Transportation Van will pick you up on the day of surgery if you have no transportation available.

Familiarity is a positive aspect of our Center. Many of the same personnel who work in the Surgery Center also work across the hall in the patient care facility. On surgery days, the waiting room has a “home town” atmosphere about it. Patients greet each other as old friends and are greeted by staff in a friendly, familiar tone also.
