Andrew G. Lashus, MD

From an early age, California native Andrew Lashus, MD was fascinated with the heart. After exposure to the field of cardiology, he realized he loves working with children and caring for the types of issues that children have. "It's always about the kids. Coming back to see the kids every day and working with kids is very rewarding."Dr. Lashus brings over 20 years experience in pediatric cardiology to the SCL Health Children's team. The majority of his practice is focused on structural defects of the heart, those that kids are born with. He also treats conditions that kids can acquire - like heart rhythm and heart muscle problems, and chest pain. Prior to joining the team at SCL Health, Dr. Lashus was an interventional cardiologist, performing heart catheterization procedures on kids with structural heart problems.Dr. Lashus' philosophy of care is to treat each child as if they were his own. He includes parents in the care journey and strives to make both families and kids feel as comfortable as possible. He is thorough, and enjoys working alongside a compassionate and caring team of professionals. Dr. Lashus enjoys the peace that Montana offers. He provides care to the region based out of Billings, and travels to Miles City, Bozeman, Butte and Cody, Wyoming for monthly outreach clinics - bringing exceptional heart care to where you are. When not caring for the region's smallest patients, Dr. Lashus enjoys time with his two labs. He has grown children, and loves to travel with his wife.
