Charles W. Breaux, MD

Dr. Breaux is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard, followed by his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. He then went on to complete a General Surgery Residency at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, followed by a Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at UAB/Children?s Hospital of Alabama. Dr. Breaux?s siblings are much younger than he is, so he got used to working with young children. He subsequently wanted to have a career where he worked with children. Through pediatric surgery, he found he could actually ?fix? significant problems in kids.Dr. Breaux provides pediatric surgical care to infants, toddlers, children, and teens of the Western Slope of Colorado and the eastern rim of Utah. As he says, ?Kids aren?t just little adults. Their medical/surgical care therefore differs from that of adults, and they require care from appropriately trained pediatric specialists in a care setting equipped for pediatric patients.?As a pediatric surgeon, Dr. Breaux enjoys ?not just saving lives but lifetimes.? When he is not at work, Dr. Breaux and his wife, Robbie, enjoy choral singing, hiking, road-bicycling, cross-country and downhill skiing, and cooking.
