Deborah L. Jacobson, MD

Dr. Deb Jacobson is a non-surgical sports medicine physician in Denver. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. She completed residency training at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, and is board certified in family medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in sports medicine. Dr. Jacobson further advanced her training by completing a sports medicine fellowship at Ohio State University. She has more than 10 years of experience in the non-surgical management of a variety of musculoskeletal conditions in children, adolescents, and adults.Dr. Jacobson is a team physician for the Colorado Mammoth, and she volunteers with the Denver Public Schools sports medicine department.Dr. Jacobson worked at the base of Winter Park ski resort for several years where she gained invaluable experience diagnosing and treating orthopedic injuries, such as fractures and dislocations. She was a collegiate basketball player and understands the mentality of an athlete and their urgency to get off the sidelines and back in the game.Dr. Jacobson believes that musculoskeletal pain or injury impacts quality of life. It is her goal to guide patients through a comprehensive treatment plan that restores pre-injury function and helps prevent recurrent injury. As an athlete herself, she finds it very rewarding when patients are able to return to their activities or sports.
