Jason R. West, DO

A Colorado native, Dr. West was born and raised in Arvada, where he grew up with his parents and three brothers. After receiving his bachelor's degree from Colorado State University, he attended medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed residency training in family medicine in Detroit, MI.  Following his residency, Dr. West returned “home” to Colorado with his family. He has been with Family Practice Specialists in Wheat Ridge since 2001.Dr. West practices a general, whole-body approach while promoting wellness with an emphasis on prevention and healthy lifestyle choices. He views the patient-physician relationship as more of a collaborative partnership, where the provider and patient work together to ensure a healthier lifestyle and improved sense of wellness.Dr. West has served as the lead physician at Family Practice Specialists since 2004. As an osteopathic physician, Dr. West enjoys utilizing osteopathic manipulation as part of a patient’s care and wellness plan. Dr. West is married to Cydney West, DO (also a family medicine physician with SCL Health), and has three children. In his time outside of work, he enjoys coaching his kids in little league sports as well as mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, golf and many other outdoor activities.
