Frank C. Michels, MD

Dr. Michels is a long-time family medicine physician at St. Vincent Healthcare and helped to build the long-term care program. He grew up in Molt, Montana and values the opportunity to care for people he’s known for many years. He believes the personal connection he has with his patients allows them to be more comfortable in asking questions about their health.Dr. Michels enjoys working with physician assistants and nurse practitioners as part of the team delivery care to geriatric patients. They not only see patients from St. Vincent Healthcare, but also those from St. James in Butte and Holy Rosary in Miles City who have need for specialty care.Traveling the world with his wife is one of Dr. Michel’s hobbies. Another hobby is metal fabrication, mostly creating metal artwork. A graduate of the University of Washington, Seattle, Dr. Michels completed his residency with the University of North Dakota. Board-certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Michels finds joy in serving others. He also enjoys farming, singing and taking photos.
