Gray C. Stahlman, M.D.

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Stahlman earned his degree in medicine in 1990 from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center with the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation and later performed a fellowship in surgery of the spine at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Stahlman specializes in surgery of the spine and also performs cervical spine surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery and kyphoplasty for compression fractures.

Dr. Stahlman joined Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance in August of 1996. Dr. Stahlman has numerous publications and several book chapters about the spine to his credit. His research has been presented at several national meetings.

Before attending medical school, Dr. Stahlman earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bioengineering at University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Stahlman served actively in the leadership of TOA, on the Board from 2003 through 2008, recently as the Vice-President. In his time away from the office, he enjoys cycling, photography, cooking and spending time with his wife looking for new adventures.
