After attending Rutgers University, he went on to study medicine in Debrecen, Hungary, and Katowice, Poland, where he received his doctor of medicine degree. He returned to the United States to serve his internship and residency at St Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center (Brooklyn-Queens program).
Dr. Varkey spent the beginning of his career working in a large medical group. While he perfected his bedside manner, he learned that he wanted to offer his patients more attention and personalized care. He started his own practice in New Port Richey more than three years ago with a commitment to creating strong doctor-patient relationships to truly help his patients to lead healthier and more active lives.
