David Hayes’ extensive knowledge of wood comes from his many years of working in the lumber and building supply industry. David’s expertise in the manufacturing process, extensive knowledge of the automated equipment (G and L Technology) to produce shutters, innovative ideas in the manufacturing process to produce the highest quality, and even down to writing programs in Excel to ensure shutters are built to your exact measurement and specification.

David took his woodworking knowledge to a shutter manufacturing facility in Ellijay and in 1999 purchased the company now known as Hayes Manufacturing.

As an experienced woodworker, David takes personal pride in building furniture quality shutters utilizing a combination of handcrafting and automated wood cutting technology in a streamlined manufacturing process. This combination of old world and new world craftsmanship ensures that your shutter components fit together flawlessly to your custom measurements and specifications.
