Shalom Hospice

Shalom Hospice provides compassionate care to our patients and their loved ones who have life limiting illnesses. The focus is to provide hospice services to all who qualify regardless of ability to pay. Shalom Hospice is a nonprofit, 501c3 entity serving communities in mid Missouri.

​Shalom evolved from a nurse who was holding the hand of a dying 18 year-old girl with terminal AIDS disease. These hands revealed the need for a peaceful place to transition rather than a noisy ICU unit. The nurse vowed to allow others to transition peacefully while being surrounded by people who truly cared and had compassion.

​Shalom means peace. Our mission is to provide a peaceful atmosphere for our patients and families as they experience sensitive times in their lives. We are committed to providing excellent and loving care to all our clients. We are Shalom Hospice: providing extraordinary care to extraordinary people!
