Hospice of Central Ohio

Our organization was founded in 1982 by nine volunteers who, with private funding and community donations, provided in-home hospice care for 18 patients in our first year of operation. Today, Hospice of Central Ohio has cared for thousands of patients throughout Central Ohio.

With assistance from hundreds of dedicated staff and volunteers, we offer comprehensive hospice care from our offices in Newark, Lancaster, Columbus and the Selma Markowitz Care Center at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Many factors influence where patients and families receive care - wishes, desires, symptoms, the patient's support network and much more. Hospice of Central Ohio's team approach to providing high-quality, end-of-life care remains the same.

We accept all eligible patients regardless of their ability to pay, complexity of care or severity of need.

Our team of highly dedicated and expertly trained individuals include physicians, registered nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains, bereavement counselors and trained volunteers.
