Ashay Kparker, MD - Valparaiso

After receiving a dual undergraduate degree in engineering and biomedical engineering and chemistry from Duke University, Dr. Kparker received his medical degree and completed his residency at the University Of Illinois Chicago College Of Medicine. “It’s not unusual for people with a biomedical engineering degree to choose the field of urology,” explained Dr. Kparker, “because we are continuously challenged to try and improve the specialty.”

Dr. Kparker chose the field of urology because he feels it gives him a good mix of surgical and clinical cases. “I really get to do so many things in this field, and it is always evolving, which keeps it very interesting,” he said.
