Gutzler’s Furniture was established over dinner one evening in 1965. Jerry Gutzler was having dinner with old friends and they were wanting to get out of the furniture business due to some illnesses in the family. They approached Jerry with the opportunity to buy the business at the young age of 24. Jerry took a chance and within 24 hours had the down payment on the business. He didn’t know anything about furniture at the time but knew this was a great chance to make a good living for him and his family. 50 plus years and going strong, Gutzler’s Furniture has been a staple in the community providing high quality furniture and mattresses to the people of Nashville.
