Steve Abercrombie, DC, first developed an interest in chiropractic when an adjustment cured his stiff neck as a child, and the passion grew in college as he received regular adjustments to help recover from the rigors of playing football.
A lifelong athlete, Dr. Abercrombie’s personal experience with injury, pain, healing, and optimal performance fuels his desire to help the men, women, and children who come to him for relief at Abercrombie Chiropractic in Danville, California.
Shortly after college, a work-related injury disabled Dr. Abercrombie for two years. Doctors prescribed him multiple pain medications. He was advised by two different surgeons that he needed fusion on his lower back. Physical therapy offered no relief.
Although his insurance didn't cover chiropractic, he decided to seek the care he knew could help him.
Luckily for Dr. Abercrombie and his future patients, he found a chiropractor who advised against the surgery and inspired him to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. After earning his degree, Dr. Abercrombie established Abercrombie Chiropractic in Danville.
Dr. Abercrombie’s goal is to get to the root of your pain, resolve it, and retrain your body so that it begins to heal itself. He works with children ages 2 and older, teens, adults, and geriatric patients. He sees himself as your guide, leading you on your journey toward self-education and self-healing.
Although Dr. Abercrombie believes that regular chiropractic adjustments are an essential part of self-care, the choice is yours. His philosophy is: “We will take great care of you, but you have to get here first.” He's happy to have a 15-minute discussion with you free of charge so you can decide for yourself if chiropractic is right for you.
When he’s not working, Dr. Abercrombie loves spending time with his two amazing teenagers, Kadence and Jaxon.
