Our Emergency and Trauma Center is available 24 hours a day and is supported by a medical staff dedicated to clinical excellence and The Sharp Experience. We offer private patient-care rooms and a fast-track system to treat patients more quickly. The Trauma Center is part of San Diego County's Trauma System — a partnership that includes five other designated trauma centers and launched in August 1984. The system has set the bar for trauma systems across the country for its organization, efficiency and delivery of exceptional care for the injured.
