I became a pediatric allergist and clinical immunologist because I enjoy patient contact and find it rewarding to help children and parents find the best treatment to help control and suppress the allergy.

Whenever I see a new patient, I want them to understand the kind of care that they will receive. I start the conversation by asking what questions they have about possible allergy problems and how I can help them address those problems. I take pride in having a bedside behavior that welcomes patients, parents and significant others to feel comfortable asking questions and feeling they have been heard.

When patients and their family are knowledgeable and empowered in the care of their allergies, the doctor-patient partnership can achieve excellent results. This leads to successful outcomes to patient care.
