My main goals as a provider are to listen to my patients' concerns and educate them about their condition.
I understand that patients may have different goals and plans of care than the gold standard. My patients and I work together to reach a mutual level of understanding so they are comfortable with their treatment plan. I feel successful as a provider when my patient feels heard, represented, and comfortable with the plan.
My patients tell me they appreciate the time I take to meet with them, that I explain their condition thoroughly in words they can understand, and that I am easy to get along with. They appreciate that I have no judgment regarding their history, practices, ideals, and concerns.
I am a New Hampshire native, and I take great pride in caring for my own community. Making people feel comfortable with coming to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for their care is the most rewarding thing about my job.
