Home Companion Solutions is a division of The Nurse Agency, a company founded in 2001 by Penny Golden, RN, Ann Elk-Weist and Steven Golden. During Penny's work as a Nurse Care Manager she noticed the great need her clients had for extra help around the home to supplement the nursing care she was providing. The families of her clients were also needing relief from the demands of caring for a sick or infirm relative. Many of her clients and their families were facing the difficult decision between staying in their home and the high cost of moving to a long term care facility.Penny knew that the personal, caring business model Penny, Steve and Ann created for The Nurse Agency would work well for a companion business. Home Companion Solutions was created to offer our community compassionate, reliable care at a reasonable fee.
