The Purple Door

the purple door was started in 1999 by barbette jones in her basement in lee's summit missouri. barbette studied architecture at penn college in pennsylvania and received her degree in fashion design at park college in missouri. she is currently a member of drapery pro and regularly attends industry shows to stay on the cutting edge of new trends, colors, fabrics and accessories. as an architecture student in college, barbette learned to appreciate creativity and form. after finishing her degree in fashion design, many of her custom sewing customers asked her to create lovely treatments for their homes, which led her to the purple door, specializing in window treatments. her background and artistic interest shows her flair for style, creative ideas, and an eye for quality. she delights in using her professional expertise and designing skills to create beautiful products for her clients.
