Advanced Pain Management Institute: Valery Tarasenko, MD

Valery D. Tarasenko, MD, is the founder and medical director of the Advanced Pain Management Institute in Vacaville, California. He’s a board-certified pain management physician and medical aesthetics specialist and has been in private practice in the Bay Area since 2001.
Dr. Tarasenko has special interests in interventional spinal diagnostic and treatment modalities, breaking the cycle of opioid dependence, and improving his patients’ lives with aesthetic enhancements and medically-guided weight loss.
Dr. Tarasenko is a diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine. He received his MD in 1983 from Kharkiv National Medical University in Ukraine and completed formal fellowship training in pain management at the University of California Davis Medical Center.
Dr. Tarasenko is also affiliated with Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, NorthBay Medical Center, and NorthBay VacaValley Hospital.
After undergoing specialized training to use Suboxone® to treat opioid dependency, Dr. Tarasenko was granted a license by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to administer Suboxone as an outpatient treatment.
