Mohammad Ammar

Dr. Ammar grew up dreaming about being a physician. Hard work made that dream come true. Going through years of medical school, it had become clear that Dr. Ammar is passionate about caring for children. The digestive system and its accessories fascinate Dr. Ammar. When it comes to caring for children with gastrointestinal disorders, TriStar Children Hospital and Dr. Ammar share their philosophy and dedication.
Dr. Ammar earned his medical degree abroad. He did general pediatric training at Louisianan State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport and Gastrointestinal training at Riley Children?s Hospital, Indiana University, Indianapolis. Dr. Ammar has served children with gastrointestinal problems in the states of Michigan and Illinois and most recently in East Tennessee. Dr. Ammar is an American board certified gastroenterologist with 15 years experience.
Dr. Ammar is married and has four beautiful children. Outside work, Dr. Ammar enjoys biking, listening to country music and building friendships with people of different background and cultures.
