Erin Mateer, MD

Dr. Erin Mateer, is a board certified OB/GYN passionate about women's health and practices with the Advanced Women?s Health Center. Her practice includes obstetrics, minimally invasive vaginal and gynecologic surgeries, and preventive care.Dr. Mateer graduated from Virginia Commonwealth Medical School in 2013. From 2013 to 2017, Dr. Mateer was a medical resident at Medstar Georgetown and its associated hospitals in the Washington, D.C. area, including Washington Hospital Center. As part of this high volume program, she provided individualized care to a large number of high risk obstetric and gynecologic patients, including many underserved women.She is also an alumni of George Washington University and Howard Law School.Dr. Mateer is happily married with two wonderful daughters, two dogs, and one cat (who all believe they also should be counted as children). She enjoys spending time with her family, trips to the beach, and oil painting.
