Dr. Yogesh K. Patel, MD

Dr. Yogesh K. Patel completed his undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. He went on to receive a Doctor of Medicine with high honors from Ross University, School of Medicine in 2002.

Dr. Patel spent five years in residency at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California, where he obtained his training in General, Breast, Laparoscopic, and Trauma Surgery.

After completing his residency, Dr. Patel moved to Las Vegas where he joined a General Surgery practice in 2007. During that tenure, he performed a large variety of cases in all aspects of General Surgery, with a strong focus on surgical oncology cases, especially for thyroid cancer, breast cancer, and gastric and intestinal cancers.

He also performs a wide array of other General Surgery operations such as gallbladder surgery, abdominal and groin hernia surgery, hemorrhoid and fistula surgery, chemotherapy catheter placements, and peritoneal dialysis catheter placements. Dr. Patel performs many procedures using Robotic Surgery. He also offers Varicose Vein Treatment.

Dr. Patel became Board Certified from the American College of Surgeons in 2009, and is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Recently, Dr. Patel has also taken on an educational role as a clinical assistant professor for Touro University, where he educates both medical and physician’s assistant students in all aspects of General Surgery.

Dr. Patel is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons, and Clark County Medical Society.
