Maevsky Victor, MD

Victor Maevsky, M.D., a cardiothoracic surgeon, is a member of The Heart, Lung and Vascular Surgeons, a division of Wheeling Hospital. He previously was employed in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester. Dr. Maevsky is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, has made numerous presentations at thoracic and cardiac surgery conferences and has been published in major thoracic surgery text books. He received his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, British West Indies. After completing his residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center at in Livingston, N.J., Dr. Maevsky served a cardiothoracic fellowship at Strong Memorial Hospital. In 2003, Dr. Maevsky was a member of a missionary surgery team at Hospital of Sacred Heart in Milot, Haiti.
