Hardin Rose, MD

Rosemarie Hardin, M.D., breast surgeon, is a member of Wheeling Hospital’s team of board-certified surgeons specializing in breast care. Dr. Hardin is board certified in general surgery and board eligible in cardiothoracic surgery. She completed her breast surgical oncology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Hardin graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical education from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, Manhattan, NY, and earned her medical degree from the SUNY Health Science Center, Brooklyn, NY, where she was ranked third in her graduating class. The clinical training Hardin received includes: fellowship in advanced cardiac surgery and a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC); and residencies in general surgery and a fellowship in surgical research at SUNY Health Science Center. Dr. Hardin has received numerous academic recognitions, including UPMC’s Academic Achievement Award in 2010. Her published research includes the topics of septic shock antagonism, intra-abdominal sepsis and analysis of the clinical utility of optical tomography as modality for the diagnosis of breast cancer.
