William Minnix, MD

Dr. William Minnix completed his medical degree at the University of Florida, College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. He then completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at University Hospital of Jacksonville, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Minnix has been practicing for over 30 years. As an internal medicine physician, Dr. Minnix is equipped to deal with most all problems a patient brings; common or rare, simple or complex. He has advanced training focusing on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases and is specially trained to solve puzzling diagnostic problems. Dr. Minnix can handle severe chronic illnesses and situations where several different illnesses may strike at the same time. He refers to specialists if there is a patient need and manages care even when other physicians are involved.

He belongs to the American Medical Association, the Florida College of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Minnix?s past and present certifications include the American Board of Emergency Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine, ACLS: Provider, ACLS Instructor, Faculty Affiliate for Pinellas Co, ACLS CPR Committee Representative, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support Instructor, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine.
