James Post, MD

James Post, MD, FACC has been practicing with the Heart & Vascular Institute since 1995. He grew up in Long Island, NY and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Suma Cum Laude. Dr. Post then attended New York University School of Medicine for his medical degree. His first exposure to the ?good life? in the southeast was when he attended Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta for his internal medicine internship and residency. As a loyal Penn Quaker he was thrilled to complete his schooling and medical training returning to the University of Pennsylvania for his cardiology fellowship.
Dr. Post is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Based at Palms of Pasadena Hospital since joining the practice, Dr. Post is a member of the hospitals Governing Board, Medical Council, ICU Committee, Radiation Safety Board, and, was voted Palms Doctor of the Year in 2002, the inaugural year for this award. He was also Chief of Staff from 2009-2010.
He is happily married to Robin and together have two wonderful daughters, Elana and Traci, who have no interest in medicine. His interests outside of medicine include traveling, tennis, swimming, scuba and everything Apple.
