Rebecca Crabb, PhD

Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, or life stress, therapy can make the difference between feeling stuck and regaining strength. I (Rebecca M. Crabb, Ph.D.), am a licensed psychologist located in San Francisco, specializing in individual psychotherapy. I have over a decade of experience helping individuals at various stages in adult life overcome their struggles.
In my private practice, I use both short and long-term psychotherapy to help clients. I use an integrative treatment approach and an active, reflective treatment style to engage clients with warmth and respect. I earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Ottawa, Canada, in 2008. I continued my education with postdoctoral research and clinical fellowships at the University of California, San Francisco and the Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center at the Veterans Health Administration in Palo Alto, California. Throughout my research, I focused on strategies to enhance senior adults’ access to mental health services
In addition to running a private clinical practice, I am a co-investigator and clinical supervisor at UCSF on a nationally-funded research study, the Senior Peer Alliance Rural Research on Wellness (SPARROW) project. I am also a certified problem-solving therapy trainer with the National Problem Solving Treatment Network.
