Deanna Aftab-Guy, MD

Dr. Aftab Guy graduated from Vassar College with a Bachelor?s degree in biology. She earned a medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children?s Hospital Medical Center of Akron. She practiced academic pediatrics in both Ohio and North Carolina before pursuing her subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Aftab Guy has trained many other pediatric specialists, serving as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, in Ohio and at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. As assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt she conducted, presented and published her research on the topics of juvenile diabetes and metabolic disorders. Prior to joining TriStar Medical Group Children?s Specialists, Dr. Aftab Guy received her MBA in healthcare from Belmont Massey in Nashville and served as a medical director for Amerigroup Corporation and United Healthcare. She is married and enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and five children.
