Samantha Avery, MD

Samantha Avery, DO, graduated Cum Laude with her bachelor?s degree in micro and molecular biology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla. She attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Medicine. Dr. Avery did her internship, residency and she recently completed her cardiology fellowship at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. She was co-chief Fellow for two years. During her time at UCF, Dr. Avery was an NCAA scholarship athlete for crew and was co-captain of the crew team.

In her spare time, Dr. Avery likes to cook, run and golf. Dr. Avery is committed to women?s heart disease and The Go RED for Women Heart Campaign. She has interest in diagnostic echocardiography and nuclear cardiac testing. Dr. Avery is very excited to join The Heart Institute and we are all pleased to have her on board.
